Encinitas celebrates Dia de los Muertos on October 25th, 2026 from 12pm to 4pm. After nearly a decade at the Encinitas Community Center, the event has moved to a bigger location at MiraCosta College, San Elijo Campus (3333 Manchester Ave, Cardiff).
This annual celebration brings together local and regional talents celebrating the visual and performing arts related to a major Mexican cultural event.
Established to foster an appreciation and awareness of Latino Cultural Celebration, Dia de los Muertos offers free family-friendly programming to North County residents of Latino heritage while uniting people of all backgrounds and traditions.
This family-friendly “Day of the Dead” festival will include continuous performances by some of the best Latin talent in San Diego. Plus art-making workshops for children, artist demos, student art exhibit, Catrina Contest for the best skull make up, Por Siempre Car Club, food trucks, opportunity drawings (including 2 tablets donated by Surgistar), vendors and giveaways. A Community Ofrenda-or remembrance altar-will feature a replica of the Surfing Madonna by artist Mark Patterson.
