Diwali: Deepotsav — Festival of Lights returns to the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 4:30 to 10pm.
The free, family-friendly celebration is jointly hosted by the San Diego Indian American Society, Ekal Vidhyalaya, SEWA International, and House of India, bringing together several of the city’s Indian community organizations for an evening honoring Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. Expect hours of cultural entertainment, including classical and folk dance performances and live music, along with a marketplace of food vendors and stalls selling ethnic clothing, jewelry, and handcrafted goods.
The event has grown in recent years into one of San Diego’s largest Diwali celebrations, drawing large crowds to the Organ Pavilion and surrounding Balboa Park lawn for a night of music, dance, food, and community.
