The Fall Back Children’s Historical Street Faire returns to the Gaslamp Quarter on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., as daylight saving time ends and the neighborhood turns its clocks back for its 26th annual edition.
Presented by the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation, this free, family-friendly event transforms the streets surrounding the historic Davis-Horton House at 4th and Island Avenue into a living history lesson set in 1880s San Diego. Visitors can watch a blacksmith forge iron, listen to the rhythms of a Kumeyaay Drum Circle, sip a root beer float, get a caricature or face painting, pose for a stagecoach photo-op, and browse a demonstration of Native California tools and weaponry. Kids can also try their luck at the penny candy booth and compete in fun contests for prizes and giveaways.
Proceeds benefit the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation’s ongoing work to preserve the history and culture of the Gaslamp Quarter.
