New to the site: the Fall Back Children’s Historical Street Faire returns to the Gaslamp Quarter on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., now in its 26th year.
Presented by the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation, this free, family-friendly event transforms the streets outside the historic Davis-Horton House into a living history lesson set in 1880s San Diego. Kids and adults alike can pan for gold with real prospectors, watch blacksmith demonstrations, take a time-period portrait in Wild West costume, and enter spaghetti-, pie-, or ice cream-eating contests. The day also features cultural dance troupes, live music, and cultural booths highlighting the many communities that helped shape San Diego.
Proceeds benefit the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation’s ongoing work to preserve the history of the Gaslamp Quarter.
