The Japanese Friendship Garden’s annual Tezukuri-ichi Holiday Market returns Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 10am to 4pm at the Inamori Pavilion in Balboa Park.
“Tezukuri-ichi” translates roughly to “handmade market,” and the event showcases talented local crafters and artists selling handmade goods, art, and gifts, giving visitors a chance to shop small and support San Diego makers while enjoying the garden’s Japanese-inspired setting. Past vendors have included printmakers, illustrators, and artisans working in a range of media.
Admission to the market is included with general garden admission. The Japanese Friendship Garden is open daily from 10am to 6pm, with last admission at 5pm.
