New to the site: the 32nd annual Pacific Islander Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 26-27, 2026 at Ski Beach in Mission Bay. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. both days (closing time not specified by organizers; evening estimate shown here).
Hosted by the Pacific Islander Festival Association, it’s billed as the largest Pacific Islander festival in the U.S., celebrating the traditions of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia with more than 900 entertainers, 60+ craft vendors, 30+ community organizations, and 20+ food booths spread across a cultural village, workshops, and a marketplace.
Admission is completely free, though organizers encourage attendees to bring a non-perishable food item for their community food drive. Parking directly at Ski Beach is extremely limited; PIFA recommends rideshare or the free shuttle from the Sunrunner lot (I-5 at Sea World Drive) or Hospitality Point.
