SAMAFEST, the 39th annual Philippine Cultural Arts Festival, comes to Balboa Park on Saturday and Sunday, August 22–23, 2026, from 11am to 5pm.
Produced by the SAMAHAN Filipino American Performing Arts & Education Center, the festival takes over the Presidents Way lawn at the corner of Park Boulevard for a celebration of Philippine dance, music, and visual art. Highlights include regional folk and indigenous dance performances backed by SAMAHAN’s rondalla and kulintang ensembles, cultural exhibitions, arts-and-crafts vendors, and Filipino cuisine.
Now in its 39th year, SAMAFEST is one of San Diego’s longest-running Filipino cultural celebrations.
