New to the site: Sessions Surf Festival (formerly Solento Surf Festival) returns to the Encinitas/Solana Beach coastline September 12-19, 2026, for a week-long celebration of surf culture through music, film, art, and community.
The week kicks off with a ticketed Music Session at Seaside Reef (2504 S Coast Hwy 101, Solana Beach) on Saturday, September 12, from noon to 10pm, headlined by the Osees, with Unwritten Law, Bully, Yoke Lore, and more. The following day, September 13, brings a free, open-to-the-community Seaside Reef Beach Day with a surf contest for surfers and spectators, plus live music and entertainment at the beach bar and stage into the evening.
Later in the week, ticketed Film Sessions run September 17-19 at La Paloma Theatre in Encinitas, and a free Art Sessions exhibit takes over “the 101” corridor September 14-19, showcasing the work of 10 artists alongside live music, food, and drinks.
