The 62nd Annual Starlight Parade & Festival lights up Downtown Chula Vista’s Third Avenue on Saturday, December 5, 2026.
This beloved South Bay holiday tradition, presented by the City of Chula Vista, fills Memorial Park and the surrounding blocks with a festive holiday market, live music on the HomeFed Stage, free photos with Santa, and a tree lighting ceremony, before the parade itself proceeds down Third Avenue with floats, marching bands, dancers, and community groups. In recent years the festivities have run from mid-afternoon into the evening, with the parade beginning around 6pm and running from H Street to E Street.
Free parking is typically available at City-owned lots including the Chula Vista Public Library, Chula Vista City Hall, and the Chula Vista Recreation Center.
