New to the site: Muertos on Santa Fe, Vista’s inaugural Dia de los Muertos street festival, debuts Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 11am to 5pm along South Santa Fe Avenue in Vista, centered at Ascend Coffee Roasters (802 S. Santa Fe Ave).
For the first time, South Santa Fe Avenue will come alive with a community celebration honoring remembrance, Mexican culture, and Indigenous traditions. The free, family-friendly festival will feature community altars and remembrance displays, live performances and ceremonies, an official Catrina contest, food trucks, and local vendors and artists spanning the corridor.
Organizers describe it as the beginning of a new annual tradition for Vista and North County San Diego, aiming to bring visibility to the South Santa Fe Avenue business corridor.
